It is October and we are moving into a Fall Market. We are not as seasonable as some other cities. The good news is prices are stable and the interest rates are low, in the 3.5%-4% for 30-year mortgages. If you have thought of selling, the real estate market could have since its highest price in August of 2018. It is still within 1-3% (+-) of that in most neighborhoods of San Diego.
Recently, many homeowners have been putting their homes on the market because they see the appreciation flattening.
If you are thinking of buying and looking to time the market, now may be the right time. For home buyers, there is more selection of homes, low-interest rates, and some bargaining power that might work for you. I am not seeing an indication that there will be a big drop in prices or foreclosures like there were in 2009-2012.
